SPECIFICATIONS

Tires might seem simple at first glance, but every number and letter on the sidewall tells you something important about performance, safety, and compatibility. Each Marking can help you choose the right tires and here’s all you need to know:

Tire Width (Section Width)

Measurement of one side wall to another (in mm) This affects affects grip, handling, and compatibility with your rim

Aspect Ratio (Section Width)

Ratio of the tire width to sidewall Lower aspect ratios (like 40 or 45) usually give better handling but a firmer ride; higher ratios (like 70 or 75) give more comfort

Construction Type

A letter such as R (Radial) or D (Diagonal/Bias-ply) Radial tires are common and offer better performance and durability while bias can carry heavier loads

Rim Diameter

The diameter of the wheel the tire fits, measured in inches.Must match the wheel size for proper fit

Speed Rating

Maximum legal speed for tire when correctly inflated and under load Must match or below your vehicle’s top speed for safety
